Monoprinting with the Goblin.

I have to say, for me, one of the best benefits of being a parent is exploring art and expression with my child: The Goblin.

During one of his sick days, he and I played around with my gelli plate and created a bunch of monoprints.

These are just a few of the ones that we made. The ones with his hands have to be my absolute favorite. They feel so free and innocent. He was genuinely curious about the process and was excited to try each new step.

I’ve posted just two although we made far more than that. We have so many ways to express ourselves.

Children, especially very young children, often do not have the same inhibitions or expectations that adults have built up. So art creation can just be all fun and freeing and experimenting. No judgement – just fun with mom.

I want to create more with that adventurous spirit.  No Judgement. Just Art.
