Deli Paper Circles – Experiment.

I was thinking about the circles I did for this week’s DLP challenge (yesterday’s post) and it occurred to me, as I am sure it has to others, that if I created the circles on deli paper, I might be able to put them over anything for a transparent effect.

(For those of you who may not know, if you apply deli paper onto a piece of art using gel medium – it will become transparent – except, of course, for the parts covered with something that is not transparent, like paint.)

So, circles created, I took my least favorite one and put it on a journal page that will at some point be covered. Experiment worked! I would put thinner layers of paint next time so more of the background could show through.

This makes these circles a little more versatile. I love them on vintage papers but deli paper means everything behind them has the potential of showing through too.  More fun tomorrow.

  1. What an awesome idea! Very lovely circles and love the thought of being able to apply them in different places in future projects. I haven't tried using Deli Papers yet but really want to. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂
