Eraser Carved Girl – Artist Trading Cards. I carved this during the class I taught last week. She is colored with Inktense. I used a mask and some other background hand-carved stamps for the background.
Sometimes when doing my art journal, I face the same kind of block, I imagine, that a write feels when looking at a blank page. Do not fear the blank page. Just Play. This spread features an image transferred typewriter and a hand-carved stamp.
The color choices are a bit weird but whatevs. It’s just play and as I told my four-year old while we were working on our pages, there are no rules when playing in your art journal.
Here is another fun little mixed media piece I did with Dina Wakley during a recent class. So many great techniques! I would recommend her classes to anyone interested in figuring out this whole mixed-media/art journal thing.
Another eraser carving. I am working on a couple big projects so time is limited for my arty thing. I’m a little behind on my DLP too – but I should get it all caught up soon.
